The most common way to do this is by having a link to the Vendors product on your Website or Blog, that when clicked carries a cookie telling the Vendor the ID of the Affiliate who sent them. Your aim is to get enough people from your site visitors to click the links and buy from the Vendor.
The use of the Internet as a means of shopping is growing exponentially, and the average person is becoming far more adventurous in what they will buy online, even high value items such as Houses, Swimming Pools and Boats are being bought regularly online daily. If you were to be able to get a couple of percent commission on a house sale, that would not be to shabby at all.
Anything related to helping people to set up Online or Home businesses is selling like hot cakes at the moment, with the current financial climate being so uncertain, and the effects of quantitive easing by the government, the average person is feeling the pinch, and they are actively looking for ways to bring in any other income that is available to them. The Internet fits the bill perfectly for a business startup, by having low entry requirements, and the super fast speed of transactions that are almost instant.
There are opportunities all around you at the moment to make Affiliate Revenue. You just need to be alert to them to be able to take advantage. In these worst of times, fortunes will be lost and made, make sure you are positioned to take?advantage.
